Black Bear in PA

On Monday, 21st July 2014 we met an officer of the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The state agency is responsible for wildlife conservation and management in PA., i.e. managing and protects wildlife as well as managing wildlife habitat. We got informed about the current situation of black bears in PA and how the Game Commission sets traps to conduct research and if necessary relocates them. In order to get the bear into the trap the Game Commission uses a lot of cake. After being trapped the bear is tranquilized, is recorded and checked for diseases.
